Looking up at the starry night sky hoping to see an array of unique and bright stars only to remember that this is England, and so that probably won't happen. Mostly because of the clouds covering the beauty of the night sky. But understanding the elements and the make up of the universe itself is extraordinary.
I visited the Astronomy Club on Tuesday, I really didnt know what to expect as I don't really know much about astronomy and how the universe works. As soon as I entered I was blown away as Mrs Desai had exceeded my expectations by laying various foods upon the table. Definitely a good start within my opinion! As we settled down the learning begun, we started off with our main source of light, the sun. We began to learn about the solar system and how scientists knowledge of our position in the structure of our system had changed. It was informative as we started to learn about the sun's element and Mrs Desai managed to link the content with Islam.
The astronomy club has definitely opened my eyes to the wonders of the universe and I hope that many more students will join their club. If anyone is interested find Mrs Desai to find out more!
